Pathways to Accreditation
Your practice will fall into one of the four main groups below. By identifying the group your practices is in you will see the action required now!

1. My Practice has Stage I Accreditation with HDAA - what do we do?
Your Stage I Accreditation is now valid to 30 June 2012.
Action required now:
To confirm your intention to progress through Stage II of the scheme, login to your onTrack area of the HDAA website and update "Enrol for Stage II" . This will advise us of any changes to your practice details or the services you provide and that you accept Membership for the next accreditation cycle.

Before June 2012:
Before your Accreditation expires on 30 June 2012, your practice must apply for a desk top audit and achieve full accreditation. Information is available under the "DI Standards" link in the left hand menu and will be emailed to you as a HDAA member with time frames, tips and support on how to apply.
2. My Practice has Stage I Accreditation with another agency - how do we trnafer to HDAA?
Its easy to transfer to HDAA. Just complete the two minutes online enrolment form for the next accreditation cycle. We will then contact you to validate your status. That's it!
As a Stage I accredited practice moving to Stage II you will:
- Be updated on the Medicare claims system to ensure continuation of your accreditation and Medicare funding from 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2012;
- Receive accreditation for all the DIST services included in the Stage II Scheme and provided at your practice as at 30 June 2010;
- Receive a Stage II DI Accreditation Certificate from HDAA valid to 30 June 2012.
Before June 2012:

3. My Practice is not currently accredited and wants to participate
Enroll with HDAA now to start receiving support with preparing your audit submission if your practice:
* was in operation before 1 July 2010, did not have accreditation under the Stage I Scheme and did not register for Deemed Accreditation (your practice can choose to become accredited to either the Entry Level or the Full Suite of Standards - see "DI Standards" in the left hand menue of this website);
* is a new practice opening since 1 July 2010 (your practice can choose to become accredited to either the Entry Level or the Full Suite of Standards - see "DI Standards" in the left hand menue of this website).
* previously held accreditation, either under Stage I or Stage II, that has since ceased Please call us on 1800 601 696 to assist you with re-entering the scheme (your practice will have to achieve accreditation to the Full Suite of Standards - see "DI Standards" in the left hand menu of this wesite;
Action required:
Click "Enrol for Stage II" in the left hand menu then chose Option 3. The form will take only 2 or 3 minutes to complete.
Subsequent action (whenever your practice is ready):
Once submited we will contact you to go through any queries you have and ensure we provide the support you need to apply for and meet the scheme Standards in themost effient time frames. Your audit application will be assessed within 15 days (entry level) or 30 days (full suite) to ensure you can start claiming Medicare funding for DIST services as soon as possible.
4. My Practice has MIAP accreditaion
Your practices can enrol now, or at any time with HDAA to receive Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation for the same duration as your current MIAP (Medical Imaging Accreditation Programme).
Action required:
* Enrol with HDAA
* You will be required to provide proof of your current MIAP accreditation.
Subsequent action (whenever your practice is ready):
Before your DI or MIAP accreditation expires submit your application for a desk top audit to the Full Suite of Practice Accreditation Standards. HDAA will emil you updates and information to ensure you are aware of timeframes and requirements.
Important: Only Accredited practces can claim Medicare funding for DIST services.
